MicroVar 350 Breathing air quality control (NF EN 12021 standard)
The MicroVar 350 has been specifically designed for monitoring the quality of breathing air on mobile respiratory protection units and construction sites in compliance with NF EN 12021 standard. Supplied in a wheeled case or 19" metal box, it enables continuous monitoring of CO, CO2, O2, humidity, and oil vapors.
The color touchscreen displays the various parameters as instantaneous values or like trend curves, and an SD card archives data in CSV format. Electrical outputs enable using a remote alarm system to signal drift or malfunction. Detailed description
The benefits of the MicroVar 350 breathing air quality control unit
- Continuous measurement of CO, CO2, O2, H2O and oil
- Low analysis rate (30 liters/hour)
- Continuous measurement display on the color screen
- Adjustable thresholds (adjusted by the decree of April 8, 2013)
- Sensor calibration from the display screen
- Continuous cell flow control
- Watchdog for all faults and alarms
- Measurement traceability on SD card
- Positive safety of all faults
- Electrical servo-control for alarm and central fault
- Alarms triggered in the event of power failure
- Sensors integrated into the interchangeable cell block
- Available in case, board, or 19" case
- Simple, user-friendly operation
- Numerous options (gas sensor, temperature sensor, ticket rinter, etc.)
Numerous options complete the MicroVar 350 air quality control case, such as an extra gas detection cell (NO2, SO2, NH3, HC, H2S, or HF), temperature sensors, or a ticket printer to adapt to the different problems of each application.

Breathing air quality control to NF EN 12021 standard
Breathing air defines air quality as close as possible to the outside air and complies with EN 12021 standard. The main requirements of this standard, applicable to all breathing apparatus (SCBAs, air-supplied respirators, etc.), are as follows:
- Oxygen (O2) content: 21% (±1%)
- Carbon dioxide (CO2) content: < 500 ppm
- Carbon monoxide (CO): < 5 ppm
- Oil vapour < 0.5ppm or 0.5 mg/m3 (mainly from the air compressor)
- Inhaled air must be odorless and tasteless
- The breathing air network must not contain any liquid water. The dew point must be low enough to avoid condensation or icing, i.e., -5°c from the lowest temperature
