HORA 130 breathing air monitor following EN 12021
The HORA 130 has been specially designed to measure the breathing air quality on mobile respiratory protection units and on worksites and worksites in accordance with decree: ETST 1309168A of the 8th of April 2013. It enables permanent monitoring of CO, CO2, O2, humidity and oil vapours in compliance with standard NF EN 12021.
The rigid rubber case with IP54 protection allows it to be used in extreme conditions. A heating option is available for temperatures as low as -10°C. A programming algorithm enables continuous monitoring of the correct operation of the measurements and alarm controls. Detailed description
The advantages of the HORA 130 breathing air monitor:
- Constant measurement of CO, CO2, O2, H2O and oil
- Permanent display of measurements on monochrome screen
- Adjustable thresholds (adjusted in accordance with the decree of the 8th of April 2013)
- Sensor calibration from the display screen
- Measurement traceability on SD card
- Alarms triggered by power failure (with AL12)
The HORA 130 breathing air monitor has an electrical and pneumatic output for remote sound and light signaling in the event of an alarm or malfunction. An integrated SD card and communication port can be used to retrieve measured values.
The Airskid AL12 alarm relay is an electrical and pneumatic alarm relay used to monitor any anomaly or alarm generated by the HORA 130 breathing air quality control beacon or any breathing air analysis system.
Fields of application for the HORA 130 monitor:
- Asbestos removal
- Dust or local pollution sites
- Fixed or mobile air production units
- Hooded air supply
Technical characteristics of the HORA 130 air monitor:
- Dimensions: 370 x 298 x 131 mm
- Material: Rubber
- Protection rating: IP 54
- Power supply: 230V ± 15% or optional 24V DC
- Power consumption: 1 A
- Operating pressure: 2 to 10 bar
- Limited dew point: Down to -40°C
- Flow rate: 30 L/H
- Connection: 4 x 6 mm tube
- Operating conditions:
- Operating temperature: 10 to 40°C
- Humidity: 95% RH non-condensing
Breathing air quality control in accordance with standard NF EN 12021
Breathable air defines air quality as close as possible to that of outside air, and corresponds to standard EN 12021. The main requirements of this standard, which applies to all breathing apparatus (SCBA, air-supplied respirators, etc.), are as follows:
- Oxygen content (O2): 21% (±1%)
- Carvone dioxide (CO2) content: < 500 ppm
- Carvone monoxide (CO): < 5 ppm
- Oil vapour < 0.5ppm or 0.5 mg/m3 (mainly from the air compressor)
- Inhaled air must be odorless and tasteless
- The breathing air network must not contain any liquid water. In fact, the dew point must be low enough to avoid condensation or icing, i.e. -5°c from the lowest temperature
