SonicView

The SonicView is a fixed acoustic imaging system developed for the detection and continuous monitoring of pressurized gas leaks in industrial environments.

Unlike conventional gas detectors that require the gas cloud to reach a sensor, SonicView detects leaks instantly at a distance by capturing ultrasonic emissions generated by escaping pressurized gas using Acoustic Leak Imaging (ALI) technology. 

This approach allows operators to precisely locate gas leaks, visualize their position on the video feed and trigger real-time alerts, while reducing false alarms and preventing unnecessary shutdowns.

Designed for continuous industrial operation, the SonicView features a robust industrial construction with an IP65 protection rating, ensuring resistance to dust, moisture and harsh outdoor conditions.

Its fixed installation enables permanent monitoring of industrial equipment, even in demanding environments.

Ease of Use and Integration

With a quick setup time of approximately 2 minutes, SonicView can be easily integrated into existing industrial infrastructures.

A secure web interface allows operators to configure monitoring zones, detection thresholds and alarm parameters directly through the local network.

Visibility and Advanced Detection

The system combines an ultrasonic microphone array with an integrated optical camera.

When a pressurized gas leak occurs:

• ultrasonic emissions are captured by the microphones
• the leak source is accurately localized
• acoustic data is overlaid on the video image

This visualization provides fast and intuitive leak identification, even when detecting invisible gases such as hydrogen.

SonicView also provides real-time leak flow estimation and analyzes several parameters:

• precise leak location
• acoustic intensity
• event duration
• estimated leak flow rate

Intelligent Alert System

SonicView allows users to configure specific monitoring zones and customizable alarm thresholds.

Depending on the severity and location of the leak, the system can automatically trigger actions such as:

• maintenance alert
• email notification
• safety alarm activation
• automatic shutdown of critical installations

Two alert levels are available:

• maintenance alert
• safety alert

Cleaning and Maintenance

Thanks to its acoustic detection technology, SonicView requires no calibration gas and no gas-specific recalibration, simplifying maintenance operations and reducing operating costs.
