A Fully Integrated Real-Time Geolocated Lone Worker Device
The G8 includes – as standard – a fully integrated real-time geolocated lone worker protection system. It is equipped with a fall detection sensor (verticality detection), a “man-down” function (motion detection), and an “SOS Alert” function via a dedicated latch.
Alerts and location data are continuously transmitted to the cloud through the Blackline Live web portal, enabling real-time monitoring and incident management.
Portable Gas Detection Function (Up to 5 Gases)
In addition to the fully integrated geolocated lone worker system, the G8 can be equipped with interchangeable gas cartridges (single-gas, multi-gas diffusion, or pumped multi-gas), transforming it into a geolocated gas detector with PTI functionality.
The G8 supports up to 4 simultaneous sensors and can detect up to 5 gases from a selection of more than 20 available gases.
For confined space applications, a sampling pump can be integrated. Bump tests and calibration records are stored and downloadable via certification reports.
PTT Button (Push-To-Talk)
The G8 also integrates Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality.
The PTT button allows the G8 to operate as a walkie-talkie (voice over IP) with two-way voice communication. Users within the same organization and on the same channel can communicate without range limitations thanks to cellular connectivity.
Up to 99 channels are available.
The Blackline Live Web Portal
Blackline Live is a secure web-based portal accessible from any computer or mobile device connected to the Internet.
It enables device configuration, user profile management, alert settings, and in-depth data analysis to optimize safety and operational efficiency.
The platform is cloud-hosted and SOC2 Type 1 compliant.
A Real-Time Dashboard
Accessible via Blackline Live, the real-time dashboard provides a detailed overview of all connected G8 devices.
Incidents are detected as they occur, and alerts (SOS, fall detection, no-motion detection, check-ins) are transmitted immediately to monitoring personnel.
Each event displays its type, status, map location, and history, enabling an appropriate emergency response for every situation.
Detailed Reporting
All parameters, incidents, and location data from the G8 fleet are transmitted in real time or stored and forwarded in areas without connectivity.
Data is compiled into detailed reports (tables, charts, and analytics dashboards) to support activity tracking, regulatory compliance, and operational optimization.
24/7 Alarm Receiving Center
Blackline’s integrated Safety Operations Center provides professional 24/7 monitoring and emergency response management for field teams.
Specialized operators assess alerts and coordinate emergency responses as required.
It is also possible to manage alarms internally through your own monitoring partner or company security team.
