Nitrous oxide detector - N2O gas

A nitrous oxide detector measures N2O concentrations in ambient air. Depending on uses and characteristics of the potentially exposed places, nitrous oxide concentrations can be measured in% LEL (explosiveness) or in ppm (toxicity).

N2O gas, also known as nitrous or laughing gas - CAS 10024-97-2 - is an oxidizer and a substance most often used under pressure. It is used in various fields such as medicine (anesthetic), the food industry (propellant gas), or even in internal combustion engines (oxidizer).

In presence of nitrous oxide, the use of a fixed N2O detector such as the NB3 (safe areas) or the NS2 (ATEX environments) makes it possible to anticipate risks to health and installations due to a dangerous concentration of this gas.
