The Spyglass Xtend is a next-generation flame detector, designed for combined detection of hydrogen and hydrocarbon flames. It is based on triple infrared (IR3) technology and an intelligent signal processing algorithm, ensuring fast, accurate, and reliable detection even in the most demanding industrial environments.

The detector is available in two versions:

• Spyglass Xtend: Standard version with analogue output, relays, and HART interface
• Spyglass Xtend-V: Version with real-time HD video output and automatic event recording

IR3 Detector – Combined Flame Detection

The Spyglass Xtend uses three infrared wavelengths to differentiate genuine flames from environmental interferences such as sunlight reflections, hot surfaces, or heavy rain. With five adjustable sensitivity levels, it can be configured for various field conditions, including ATEX zones, outdoor installations, dusty environments, or areas with high humidity.

System Integration Includes:

• Stainless steel housing rated IP66/68, NEMA 4X/6P for maximum durability
• Heated optics to prevent misting or frost formation
• Front-facing tricolour LED (green = normal, yellow = fault, red = alarm) for instant visual status indication
• Easy Integration and Universal Compatibility

Designed for seamless integration into any fire or gas detection system, the Spyglass Xtend includes:

• 4–20 mA analogue output (source or sink)
• 3 configurable relays for alarm / fault / auxiliary states
• Optional HART® 7.0 digital interface
• NTSC / PAL video output (optional on Xtend-V version)

Two cable entries (¾” NPT or M25x1.5) are provided, with wiring compatibility from 1 to 2.5 mm². Mounting is straightforward using an adjustable bracket, allowing precise detector alignment up to 60°.
