An ultra-light, modern and robust helmet
The Dräger HPS® SafeGuard is a jet-type helmet designed to meet the most stringent requirements of firefighters and rescue teams. Its light weight of 1.25 kg and compact design do not detract from its robustness. Made from high-performance materials, it offers excellent resistance to impact, heat and extreme environments. Its aerodynamic design and outer shell make it both safe and stylish.
Optimised comfort for long operations
Designed for extended wear without discomfort, the HPS SafeGuard is easy to adjust thanks to an external adjustment wheel, an ergonomic chinstrap and a padded inner crown. The one-size-fits-all design covers a wide range of head sizes (50 to 67 cm), ensuring a perfect fit for all users. The weight balance ensures even distribution, reducing fatigue during long or demanding operations.
Enhanced visibility for maximum safety
Visibility in emergency situations is paramount. The helmet is equipped with reflective strips all around the skullcap, available in several customisable designs. The optional HPS BuddyLight rear light provides quick identification of the wearer thanks to its multicoloured LEDs (blue, white, red) with different light modes. LED lights can also be fitted to the front, sides or rear of the helmet for optimum hands-free lighting.
Full face and eye protection
The HPS SafeGuard comes with an anti-fog and anti-scratch polycarbonate visor. As an option, it can be fitted with a tinted or transparent lens. For added safety, a multi-layer Apec® face shield is available, with anti-fog treatment on the inside and anti-scratch treatment on the outside. This device is compatible with glasses and meets class 1 optical quality standards.
A multifunction helmet with modular accessories
The HPS SafeGuard helmet stands out for its modularity. It is compatible with a wide range of accessories:
- Bibs (short Nomex®, aluminised or "Netherlands" model)
- Lighting systems (Dräger PX1, PX2 or integrated FlashLight)
- HPS-COM communication modules with dual microphones
- Customised logos, markings and reflective strips
Easy maintenance and technological compatibility
The helmet is designed for quick and easy maintenance: just 4 parts that can be removed without tools, for manual or machine cleaning. It is also equipped for the integration of RFID chips and barcodes, facilitating logistics management and identification.
