Portable single-gas detector
Single-gas detectors are personal protective equipment (PPE) to detect only one gas. These portable gas detectors are well-suited for professional use in hazardous situations – with presence of explosive, toxic or asphyxiating gases – and for monitoring health at work (air quality analysis).
Disposable gas detector
Disposable gas detectors are single-gas detectors with a limited lifetime - 2 years usually. These portable gas monitors are oftentimes configured with the most common sensors such as oxygen (O2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) or carbon monoxide (CO). Because of their low maintenance cost, they are cost-effective and very convenient.
NON-disposable portable gas detector
Standard single-gas detectors require a slightly higher maintenance cost but feature a considerably longer service life. They also feature enhanced functions and can detect many more gases. Classic single-gas detectors can monitor volatile organic compounds (VOC detection), combustible gas and a large range of toxic gases depending on the selected device.
Portable multi gas detector
Multi gas detectors can simultaneously detect from 2 to 6 gases according to the selected device. Even if they are more expensive than single-gas detectors, they feature many enhanced functions and are do not exists as disposable portable multi gas detectors.
4 gas monitor
This is the prime multi gas detector and the most commonly used detector in the industry (used for sanitation, public works, steel industry, confined space operations…). This portable gas detector can simultaneously monitor combustible gas, hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon monoxide (Co) and oxygen deficiency (O2).
Multi gas detector
For other less standard configurations, a portable multi gas detector can be equipped with a large range of complementary gas detection sensors to monitor volatile organic compounds (VOCs, organic vapors), carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NO and NO2), ammonia (NH3), chlorine (Cl2), hydrogen chloride (HCl) or cyanide (HCN), phosphine (PH3) and others that can be added upon request.

All of our detectors are automatically registered on our MyGazDetect application. This entirely free service keeps you informed about your up-to-date devices and those that require periodical checkings. A reminder email is automatically sent 1 month then 15 days before the periodical calibration deadline in order to simplify the management of your portable gas detection equipment fleet...
Our 2 year all included maintenance service
Almost all of our portable gas detectors are available with the « 2 year all included maintenance » option. This innovative concept has been designed to forecast the calibration and periodical checking of your gas monitors for 2 years from the purchase date. At the end of the period, it is possible to renew this service for 2 more years.
